John G. Moore, Sr.

My career has been a continuation of being a problem solver and innovative individual contributor on various projects. My experiences have spanned a range of industries within the domain of managing change.
In my initial post-retirement years, I devoted time to civic-related activities primarily through our family-held social enterprise, Urban Patch LLC. I have served on multiple advisory boards in various capacities within the last decade and remain active in various groups and programs centered on improving the lives of members of our community.
I recently cofounded Moore Heritage Projects Corporation, a non-profit focusing on family history education and food justice activities.

Career Highlight:
Developed and designed a young adult training and development program. Responsible for the development and coordination of all programs at the Computer Learning Center (CLC) and implementation of a government-funded plan for a large inner-city low-income apartment community.
In addition to design, I was responsible for the training of volunteers, selection, and implementation of training and software applications to provide resident students with skills needed to enter the workplace with skills to improve their employability.
CRYSTAL WILMOT
Crystal Y. Wilmot was born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana. She had the pleasure of attending Bradley University in Peoria, IL before graduating from California State University-Fullerton. At CSUF, Crystal studied Business Administration and Marketing. She is also an Army Veteran and served in Operation Iraqi Freedom. She is in the process of earning her fundraising executive certification.
She started her career at The Museum of Teaching and Learning in Fullerton, California before moving back home to be with her family. She continued her career path at the Foundation of Lutheran Child & Family Services and Gleaners Food Bank. Crystal recently served as Corporate Development Officer for Conner Prairie Museum in Fishers, IN. She is now the treasurer for Attorney General candidate, Destiny Scott Wells.
Crystal is also an active community member serving on several boards and volunteer groups. She is a member of the Women of Color in Fundraising and Philanthropy (WOC), Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), Indianapolis Urban League Young Professionals, and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. Crystal resides in Avon with her partner, JaKobi, and their two kids, Quinn and Prince.
ROSALYNN SHROPSHIRE-WEST
Rosalynn Shropshire-West is a life resident of Indianapolis, attended local elementary schools, and graduated from Crispus Attucks High School. She graduated with distinction from Indiana University, Indianapolis campus, and holds a B.A. degree in United States History. She was inducted into Alpha Sigma Lambda Honor Sorority and Golden Key International Honor Society. She was also awarded the IUPUI History Department Achievement Award. She was awarded an Honorary Doctorate Degree from Global Evangelical Christian College & Seminary.
She is a life member of the National Council of Negro Women (NCNW) Indianapolis Chapter, a national community service and advocacy organization. As a previous President of the Indianapolis Section, she participates in all NCNW activities and programs. While serving as president, she entered community partnerships on behalf of NCNW to effect positive change in the Indianapolis community.
For 10 years she served on the Board of Directors of Community Action of Greater Indianapolis (CAGI); serving as the Board Chairperson for four years. She served on the Board of Directors of “Not To Believers Like Us” (N2BLU), an advocacy against domestic violence. She is a charter member of the IUPUI- Joseph Taylor Branch of the “Association for the Study of African American Life and History” (ASALH. Rosalynn was also a contributor to the Indianapolis-based monthly, periodical, POWER Magazine International. Her black history articles appeared under the By-line, “Soul Food.” The magazine provided her the opportunity to research, write, and share interesting cultural and historical facts with a wide readership.
Cora Y. Tucker
Registered nurse by profession, Christian by choice. Born in Birmingham Alabama, on September 17™, 1950, when Cora was 3 years old the family relocated to Indianapolis Indiana. Cora is the 2nd child of 7 children. She attended Indianapolis Public Schools.
Graduated from Crispus Attucks in 1969. Joined the United States Air Force in 1976 and was honorably discharged in 1978. I attended Boise State University and graduated with a nursing degree in 1984. Married twice both marriages ended in divorce and I am the mother of 3 living children who lost one child who died during an epilepsy seizure. An avid reader, and enjoys sewing and crocheting.
She currently resides on the west side of Indianapolis and works as the Director of Nursing for Larris Home Care.
Barry Brolley
Barry graduated with his BS degree in Mathematics in 1980 from Marymount College, Salina, KS. In 2000 he received an MS degree in Statistics from the University of Kentucky, Lexington, KY.
Barry is currently employed with a Contract Research Organization (CRO) and has worked in the Pharmaceutical Industry for over 23 years. He has a good knowledge of statistics and statistical programming. Experience in writing and reviewing requirements and also reviewing SAPs and Protocols.
Barry has published several papers for workshops and conferences.
JaKobi Burton
JaKobi joined MHPC in January 2023 to diversify his professional portfolio and become more involved in his community. Around the same time, he also volunteered to become a board member of his Homeowner's Association as well as Assistant Treasurer of Indiana African American Genealogy Group.
Born and raised in Indianapolis, IN, JaKobi Burton is proud to be a product of Indianapolis Public Schools K-8. After graduating from North Central High School, he went on to acquire his Bachelor of Arts in Industrial and Mechanical Technology from Indiana State University.
After years of designing utility trucks for domestic and international customers, JaKobi has readjusted his focus to traverse a more personally fulfilling and rewarding career path. He is currently pursuing a graduate degree in Instructional Systems Technology at Indiana University Bloomington while being a consultant for his first independent business venture, Enigmatic Enterprises Inc.
In addition to enjoying nature, outdoor activities, movies, board games, genealogical research, and quality time with family and friends, JaKobi loves living in Avon with his partner, Crystal, and their two children and dog, Rocky.
